I Needed This, But I Didn’t Want it [POEM BY AI]

But looking back, now I see the truth,
That sometimes pain is the only proof,
I needed a sign, for me to break free,
From the chains that bound you and me.

Too many years of pushing ourselves apart,
Slowly and subtly, it was wounding my heart,
Mutually assured destruction—a toxic game,
Arguments and manipulation, living in shame.

Incompatibilities, differences in priorities,
Forgetting who we were, losing our identities,
I see now, the puzzle pieces didn’t actually fit,
Hollowed out shells—a bond that was incomplete.

We had nothing of substance to keep us together,
My devotion wasn’t enough to hold you forever,
So just like a barren field, my life was sterile,
Peering into your evasive eyes, my joy turned infertile.

But in the darkness, I saw a light,
It grew brighter, and then it took flight,
Surrounded by friends and family’s care,
I found myself—I was finally out of there.

The scars remain, but now I am whole,
No longer trapped in that twisted role,
So thank you for breaking my heart—
That’s what was needed to tear us apart.

The reason is you…

This is Mia’s story. Mia had always believed in the power of love and had dedicated years of her life to a relationship that she thought was unbreakable. However, as time went on, she began to see cracks in the foundation she had built with her boyfriend, Chad.

Their love, once strong and vibrant, had begun to wither under the weight of their differences and conflicting priorities. Arguments and manipulation became a common occurrence, casting a shadow of shame over their relationship. Mia felt like she was losing herself, like she was trapped in a bond that was incomplete and hollow.

One day, as she looked into Chad’s evasive eyes, Mia knew that she needed to break free. The pain and hurt she endured became the catalyst for her redemption. She realized that sometimes pain is the only proof one needs, to let go of something toxic holding them back.

In the darkness of her despair, Mia saw a glimmer of light. It grew brighter, illuminating a path towards freedom and self-discovery. With the support of her friends and family, Mia found the courage to leave behind the twisted role she had been playing in her relationship with Chad.

Though scars from the past remained, Mia felt a sense of wholeness she hadn’t felt in years. No longer trapped in a sterile life, she embraced her newfound independence and sense of self. She eventually realized that when Chad broke her heart, he unknowingly set her free.

Mia’s story became one of resilience and strength in the face of adversity. And as she walked into the sunset, hand in hand with her new boyfriend Will, she had a smile on her face and a newfound sense of freedom in her heart, Mia knew that the pain she had endured in her former life, had led her to a brighter future, full of possibilities and new beginnings.
